The genesis of Dental Innovations came from independent research conducted by Merv Saultry in the 1990s. He’d been asked by a group of dentists to research commercial practises for the industry, and what he found was shocking. Dentists paid vastly different prices for the same products, and it was clear that smaller independent dental practices paid too much for dental supplies.
Independent dental practices needed access to lower, fairer prices. But they couldn’t achieve this on their own. Tim Saultry – Director

Tim joined Dental Innovations in 1999 and has extensive knowledge about the dental industry and the challenges independent dental practices face. He brings firsthand insights obtained by operating a dental practice, enabling him to better understand the challenges Dental Innovations members face. He witnessed and experienced the time and profitability challenges independent dental practices face, which has influenced the different services Dental Innovations offers.
Tim holds an MBA, B.Ec and a Graduate Diploma in Marketing. He also possesses competency in IT, which has enabled him to explore the best software offerings to offer Dental Innovations members. Outside of work he’s an active member of his local volunteer fire brigade, follows AFL, cricket and loves to travel (India is a favourite destination). He also keeps active with cycling and scuba diving on the weekends.

Berris Saultry – Director

Berris Saultry is one of the Directors of Dental Innovations and has over 22 years of experience working with Practice Owners. Berris has developed a deep understanding of the challenges independent dentists face within their practices. He also possess a comprehensive knowledge of the dental industry in Australia and New Zealand.

Working closely with both our dentist members and partner suppliers Berris works to develop services to assist members to thrive within their individual practices and to also facilitate and grow an active Network of practice owners. Berris graduated from Flinders University with a Bachelor of Arts in Asian Studies and Political Science and has a Masters of Tourism from Monash University. Outside of work he’s an active member of his local volunteer CFA fire brigade, loves travel and is father to three kids and 2 dogs.

Sally Williams – Member Services Manager

Sally began her career in the dental industry as a dental assistant and then moved up to Practice Manager before joining Dental Innovations in 2009. Sally's role at Dental Innovations ranges from supporting the online ordering portal to assisting members with their enquiries. Outside of work Sally has a keen interest in mountain biking where she partakes in long distance races, cooking and entertaining.

Andrea Rowe – Marketing & Customer Relationship Manager

Andrea joined our Dental Innovations family in April 2023.  She brings 24 years of experience in the Dental Supply industry. 

Andrea’s various roles included over 10 years in customer service helping Dental Professionals fulfill their purchasing needs.  She has seen the dental supply industry change from a sales representative with face-to-face pen to paper order taking, to now where most of the ordering is placed through websites and portals. 

This advancement in technology meant Andrea progressed from creating printed mailed marketing material to helping create, enhance, and maintain websites and e-commerce ordering instances as well as electronic marketing material.

The wide variety of roles Andrea has held within this industry has given her a broad understanding of what dental professionals require to achieve their best possible outcomes.

Andrea has a passion for outdoor activities like 4WDing and camping as well as photography.  In her downtime, she enjoys spending time with her loved ones and pets.

Bibek Gupta – IT Manager

Bibek completed his Masters of Information Technology from Charles Sturt University in 2020 specializing in Computer Networking and Network Security. He joined Dental Innovations in December 2021.
As IT Manager at Dental Innovations (DI), Bibek is  responsible for supporting and maintaining existing DI in house applications and products and also developing new technical solutions to the adapting environment. 


His role at DI also incorporates the planning and co-ordination with the overall development and delivery of projects and also establishing the best practices for deployment of Hardware, Software, data and network infrastructure solutions and their security.
Outside work, Bibek enjoys travelling and socialize with his friends and relatives. He also likes to watch series on Netflix.
